Which is more accurate?
The Holy Priesthood of Jesus Christ is restricted only to celibates. The Eastern Orthodox current practice and the 11/12 married apostles, the first ~8 popes and other Apostolic era married priests and bishops were aberrations CLICK
Though celibate chastity is laudatory, for over one half of the Church history in the West and the existing eastern practice allows for married clergy. No Ecumenical Council has ever ruled against this practice and the councils that have were regional in nature. CLICK

Vocations
Welcome, my name is Fr. Meikle and I am the pastor at Immaculate Conception Church in Hudson.
I created this resource for Catholic men discerning a vocation to the Holy Priesthood of Jesus Christ.
Follow the links below and I will try to steer you in the right direction.
Choose One:
In your view:
1. The New Mass and the Spirit of Vatican II reflects the will of the Holy Spirit. The Old Mass should be tolerated but not spread. CLICK
2. I prefer the Old Mass, but also believe Pope Francis is an example of who and what a priest should be: humble, scholarly, pastoral. He is who the Holy Spirit chose to lead the Church at this crucial time and the changes he made to Our Father, the closing of Traditional Communities and the de-emphasis of Christianity in favor of accommodation to the modern world is of the Holy Spirit. CLICK
3. The Old Mass (usus antiquior) was guaranteed to be used until Our Lord\’s return and must be returned as normative to the Church. Anyone in Church leadership opposing this is likely not of God. AND (choose one)
a. Francis is misguided but good. CLICK
b. I think there is some serious question as to the status of Pope Francis (either his election or his ability to exercise office). CLICK
c. I think this Francis is likely not pope, nor do I think some of the ones like John XXIII were either. CLICK
